Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabić said that the students in the blockade had planned a “very serious terrorist action” – blocking flight control at Belgrade airport, which, according to her, could cause casualties.
Serbian opposition Party of Freedom and Justice MP Dalibor Jekić condemned the statement, saying that Brnabić was spreading hatred and panic. “Comparing students to Al Qaeda is irresponsible and dangerous,” he said.
The students claim that the entire action was a strategy to expose the person who was secretly recording the meetings and sending information to the media. The prosecution has started collecting information in this case.
