EU spokesperson Peter Stano spoke today at his final press conference, as his mandate ends this Saturday. Stano discussed the ongoing dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia and the mandate of the Special Representative, Miroslav Lajčak, reports RKS.NEWS.

Stano confirmed that Lajčak’s mandate will last until January and stated that decisions regarding the mandate of the Special Representative are up to the member states.

“The mandate of the EU Special Representative for the dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Miroslav Lajčak, lasts until January, and our mandate will end this Saturday. It is not my place to comment on what will happen afterward. I can only remind you that when it comes to the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, the decision regarding the mandate of any Special Representative is in the hands of the member states, and they must decide on this,” Stano said.
