As tensions continue to mount in Belgrade, the Students in the Blockade movement issued another public statement late tonight, reaffirming their commitment to non-violence and expressing solidarity with Dijana Hrka, who remains on hunger strike in front of the Serbian Parliament despite escalating police presence and provocations by pro-government groups.

In their message, the students warned of the heavy deployment of police forces across central Belgrade and the tense atmosphere around Pionirski Park, urging citizens to remain calm and vigilant:

“We ask all those present not to fall for provocations, to take care of each other, and move in groups until everyone returns home safely,” the statement reads.

Despite facing intimidation, the students reiterated that their movement is grounded in peaceful resistance, rejecting the government’s attempts to portray the protests as violent or chaotic.

“We remain faithful to non-violent methods of struggle and to non-violence as the core value of our movement,” they emphasized.

Their declaration also carried a clear and heartfelt appeal:

“Dijana Hrka must not be left alone. We believe that at this moment, the most important thing is for her to be safe. If she decides to stay, she must have people she trusts beside her, providing the support she needs.”

With these words, the students — many of whom have already faced arrests, surveillance, and smear campaigns by Vučić’s regime — once again showed the moral strength and unity that Serbia’s rulers fear the most: compassion, courage, and solidarity.

While Vučić’s government surrounds citizens with riot police and manipulative propaganda, the voice of Serbia’s youth continues to rise — calm, peaceful, but unyielding.
