Acting Interior Minister Xhelal Sveçla has released footage of weapons seized during police raids carried out earlier today in northern Kosovo, according to Reporteri.net.
Sveçla stated that various types of weapons were being modified in a workshop, and that both ammunition and unfinished weapons were found at multiple locations.
“At that location and others, we found various weapons, ammunition, and firearms in the process of modification,” Sveçla said.
Veton Elshani, Deputy Director of Police for the Northern Region, confirmed that three locations were searched—one in Zveçan and two in North Mitrovica—resulting in the arrest of two individuals.
“We assisted the Directorate Against Organized Crime with raids in connection to illegal weapons. We’re still present at the final location,” Elshani said.
