Luka Misetic, the lawyer representing former Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi, has responded to the issue of the impartiality of the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in the case against his client.
Misetic said it has yet to be determined whether the Specialist Chambers acted impartially in Thaçi’s case.
“Whether the Kosovo Specialist Chambers acted impartially in Mr. Thaçi’s case still needs to be determined. It is not for Marta Kos to prejudge this matter,” Misetic said.
He also referred to the Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales, saying that the organization has questioned the impartiality of the judges on the Trial Panel in this case.
“The Bar Human Rights Committee of England and Wales has questioned the impartiality of the judges on the Trial Panel in this case,” he said.
The lawyer’s statement comes after positions expressed by European officials regarding the judicial proceedings against the former KLA leaders in The Hague.
