According to Hrvatski Večernji List, US President Donald Trump has added Serbia to his notorious list of countries facing heavy tariffs. In his latest move, Trump imposed a 37% tariff on Serbia, which had previously been paying a 74% tariff under similar measures.

Trump believes that other countries have been exploiting the US and that these tariffs will help reduce America’s dependence on foreign goods.

Serbian media reports that Serbia’s biggest exports to the US are ICT services, which make up a significant portion of their total service exports, valued at €1.7 billion in 2024. However, this sector is currently not expected to be affected by the new tariffs.

This development has put Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić in a difficult position, as the tariffs add to the mounting economic challenges the country faces in its relations with the US.
