The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey has condemned last night’s attack on the Ibër-Lepenc canal, expressing solidarity with Kosovo.

“We strongly condemn yesterday’s (November 29) attack on a water canal in Zubin Potok in northern Kosovo, which is critical for the water and electricity supply of Kosovo. We hope that the perpetrators of the attack will be identified and brought to justice as soon as possible,” said the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in a statement.

The Ministry also expressed its readiness to offer assistance if necessary.

“We take this opportunity to express our solidarity with Kosovo and our willingness to provide any assistance that may be needed. We call on all parties to act with restraint to prevent escalation in the region,” the statement concluded.
