Sir Keir Starmer and Olaf Scholz have stated that the support from the United Kingdom and Germany for Ukraine remains “unwavering.”
Speaking at a joint press conference in Berlin, the British Prime Minister said that Ukraine is not only fighting to defend itself from Russian aggression but also “for all people across Europe.”
Meanwhile, German Chancellor Scholz emphasized that both countries will continue to provide “financial, economic, political, and military support” for “as long as it is needed.”
In a press conference alongside Olaf Scholz, Keir Starmer expressed his satisfaction at returning to Germany “at this moment of opportunity for both countries.”
Starmer announced a new UK-Germany treaty, describing it as a “once-in-a-generation chance to offer something to people working in both Britain and Germany.”
“A new agreement, a testament to the depth of our relationship’s potential. With deeper ties in science, technology, development, people, business, [and] culture. A boost for our trade relations.”
