The Vjosa River has risen again this Saturday afternoon, reaching a level of 6.0 meters by the evening.
Earlier in the day and yesterday, the river level was measured at 5.1–5.2 meters. Forecasts from the Përmet and Gjirokastër regions indicate that river inflows are continuing to increase.
Authorities warn that further rises are expected, which could once again cause the river to overflow its banks in the coming hours.
