Aleksandar Vučić has done it again on 64 live television appearances in just 18 days, according to CRTA. His previous record of 61 has officially been beaten.

The only problem is that while Vučić keeps breaking records for television appearances, Serbia’s citizens are still waiting for him to break the record for keeping his promises.

At this point, Serbian television could probably save money on presenters. Just put Vučić on screen and let him do the entire schedule.

Morning show? Vučić.
Afternoon news? Vučić.
Evening programme? Vučić.
Breaking news? Probably Vučić announcing another “historic” achievement.

The promises are endless. The deadlines keep moving. The television appearances keep multiplying.

The real question is: how many times can the same promises be repeated before viewers start asking for receipts?

CRTA’s figures also highlight a much more serious issue: media pluralism. When one politician dominates television to this degree, political communication starts looking less like a competition of ideas and more like a one-man broadcasting marathon.

Vučić may have discovered the secret to political longevity:

If you appear on television often enough, perhaps nobody will notice how many promises are still waiting to be fulfilled.

But 64 appearances cannot manufacture results.

Ultimately, the issue is not the number of television appearances, but whether political power is being used to serve the public interest, uphold democratic standards, and deliver results. And with growing public protests and political dissatisfaction in Serbia, the question is no longer how often Vučić appears on television, but how much longer citizens who oppose his rule will accept his political dominance.
