Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has held important discussions with U.S. authorities regarding the status of NIS (Naftna Industrija Srbije), stating that the outcome could bring positive developments for Serbia.

According to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), Vučić met with representatives from the Washington administration, OFAC, and the U.S. State Department, as well as with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, to discuss the resolution of issues surrounding NIS.

Further details on what this means for Serbia and the potential lifting of sanctions on NIS are expected to be announced by Vučić during a televised address on RTS tomorrow.

Earlier reports have suggested that one potential buyer of NIS could be Hungarian energy company MOL.
