The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has ordered the Government of Serbia to form a team that will lead the campaign “against the membership of Kosovo in the Council of Europe,” as the decisive decision is expected on May 16 or 17, reports N1.
“Despite strong supporters of Pristina’s independence, I still think we have a small chance and for this reason, I ask you to fight harder than ever. I ask you to commit,” said Vučić at a special session of the Government of Serbia.
He added that this is of crucial importance for Serbia.
“It is possible that some countries that have recognized the independence of Kosovo may not be positive about Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe,” Vučić said.
