The President of Serbia, Aleksandar Vučić, has expressed his surprise as to why there were reactions to the blocking of Kosovo citizens and the detention of some policemen at the border points of Serbia, one day after Kosovo successfully passed another stage towards membership in the Council of Europe.
He said that “there is no one in the world who did not react because the Serbian police detained four members of the so-called Kosovo Police”.
“There is no one who has not reacted, the announcement of the State Department, the Germans, EULEX, everyone possible… for ten months and three hundred days, all the goods that should go from Serbia to Kosovo have been blocked. None of you have given a statement”, said Vucic, spreading propaganda about the “beating” of a Serbian citizen in custody.
He said that one of the detained policemen “was a member of the KLA and is suspected of having committed a criminal offense, while the other was held for 24 hours”.
Vučić made these comments from the exercises of the Serbian army in Peshter of Sanxhak, which Prime Minister Albin Kurti said are taking place 30 kilometers from the border of Kosovo and 3 kilometers from that of Montenegro, and where there were exercises with kamikaze combat drones.
