The Municipality of Mitrovica, through the Directorate of Social Welfare, has carried out a humanitarian initiative by distributing over 1,200 food packages to families in need on the occasion of the holy month of Ramadan.
According to the municipal announcement, the initiative was conducted in collaboration with partners and donors. Beneficiaries included families receiving social assistance and the most vulnerable categories, with the aim of ensuring that no family enters Ramadan without support.
Ramadan Beshiri, Director of Social Welfare, emphasized that aid distribution was also carried out outside regular hours for families who were unable to travel.
“In special cases, aid was distributed even at late hours for families who could not move,” Beshiri stated.
