KFOR Commander, Major General Özkan Ulutaş, received the Head of the Joint Operations Command and Deputy Chief of the Swiss Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Laurent Michaud, at the KFOR headquarters in Camp “Film City,” Pristina.
During the meeting, the generals exchanged views on the security situation in Kosovo and the wider region.
Major General Ulutaş also expressed his sincere appreciation for Switzerland’s valuable contribution to the KFOR mission.
“KFOR continues to implement its mandate — based on UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999 — to contribute to a safe environment for all people living in Kosovo and to ensure freedom of movement at all times, impartially.
KFOR works in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX) in their respective roles as security responders,” the KFOR statement read.
The meeting underscores ongoing cooperation between KFOR and partner nations to maintain regional stability and support Kosovo’s security institutions.
