Several pro-Russian and extremist channels on Telegram have published messages calling for attacks against the U.S. military presence in Kosovo, specifically targeting Camp Bondsteel, one of the main bases of the NATO-led KFOR mission.
According to reports, the posts appeared on channels such as “BUNT je stanje duha,” which has more than 80,000 followers, and “СРПСКИ ГЛАСНИК.” The messages were published amid rising tensions in the Middle East following Israeli military operations against Iranian targets, and they attempt to link those developments with the U.S. military presence in Kosovo.
The content shared in these channels reportedly includes hostile rhetoric, calls for “revenge” against American interests, and claims portraying the Bondsteel base as a “legitimate target” if the conflict escalates further. In one of the most concerning posts, administrators even published the exact geographic coordinates of the military base, along with maps and comments aimed at provoking followers.
Security experts warn that sharing sensitive information about military installations and encouraging violence represents a serious security risk, not only for American personnel stationed in Kosovo but also for the wider stability of the region.
Analysts say such messaging fits into a broader propaganda strategy designed to connect global conflicts with local tensions, using anti-Western narratives and pro-Russian rhetoric to fuel instability in the Balkans.
