The Chairman of the Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK), Ramush Haradinaj, commemorated those killed by the Serbian regime in three villages of the Rahovec municipality—Celinë, Fortesë, and Brestoc—on the 27th anniversary of their deaths.
Haradinaj, through a post on his Facebook profile, wrote that March 25, 1999, marks one of the saddest days in Kosovo’s history.
According to him, the criminal regime of Milosevic massacred innocent children, women, and the elderly, leaving indelible wounds in the collective memory of the people.

“They are the best testimony of how precious freedom is and will live forever in the historical memory of our people.
March 25, 1999, marks one of the saddest days in our history. The criminal regime of Milosevic massacred innocent children, women, and the elderly, leaving indelible wounds in our collective memory.
Today, in remembrance of this sacrifice, we share the pain with families commemorating their loved ones: 75 killed in Celinë, 68 in Fortesë, and 54 in Brestoc.
The wounds from that time remain open, while the memory of the victims obliges us never to forget and to seek justice.
Glory to the fallen.”
