The Ad Hoc Committee mandated by the Assembly of Kosovo for the selection of members of the Independent Media Commission (KPM) has reviewed the documentation of applicants and decided that candidate interviews will take place on April 20, 2026.
Out of a total of 30 applicants—22 Albanians and 8 from non-majority communities—27 candidates have been shortlisted for interviews. The committee announced that the interviews will begin at 10:00.
The candidates invited for interviews include Melihate Sejdi Zeqiri, Petrit Hasanaj, Ardian Klaiqi, Zana Shabani Isenaj, Vlora Berisha, Vjona Sylejmani Shabani, Ndrec Musolli, Bleta Qehaja, Berat Aqifi, Fatime Buzolli, Belkise Berisha Xhemajli, Hysni Mustafa, Artan Loxha, Astrit Canolli, Blerim Halili, Majlinda Aliu, Musa Bajraktari, Besnik Berisha, Drita Morina, Luljeta Aliu Krasniqi, Adem Abazaj, Ajten Kodrazi, Edina Misini Toro, Serpin Emrusi Halce, Fatih Basha, Ramiz Jukoviq, and Suada Dzokoviq.
The committee also decided that some candidates will be required to submit additional documentation that was not included in their initial applications.
Meanwhile, three candidates—Radie Hoxha, Naser Bresa, and Gulen Sejari—were disqualified due to holding public positions or having worked for broadcasters within the past two years.
The Ad Hoc Committee responsible for the selection process is composed of Chair Alban Bajrami, First Deputy Chair Ganimete Musliu, Second Deputy Chair Igor Simiq, and members Arbëreshë Kryeziu Hyeni, Ariana Musliu Shoshi, Fitim Haziri, Time Kadrijaj, Fridon Lala, Nezir Kraki, Ermal Sadiku, and Egzon Azemi.
The review process was completed after three previously failed meetings to constitute the committee.
Established in 2005, the Independent Media Commission is the competent authority responsible for regulating, managing, and supervising broadcasting frequencies in Kosovo. Under Article 141 of the Constitution of Kosovo, it is defined as an independent body.
