Turkey may join mine-clearing operations in the Strait of Hormuz following a peace agreement between the United States and Iran, its foreign minister has said.

Hakan Fidan stated that any demining efforts would be carried out by a technical team composed of multiple countries and that Turkey “would have no problem” taking part, according to reports by Sky News.

He added that issues related to Iran’s nuclear program could be resolved in the next round of talks in Pakistan.
