The Basic Court of Prishtina has sentenced Sllobodan Radenkoviq to two years in prison and a fine of €15,000 for his role in the violent attacks against KFOR peacekeepers and Kosovo Police in May 2023. The ruling follows a guilty plea agreement reached between the defendant and the Special Prosecution of Kosovo.

Radenkoviq was convicted of participating in a mob that engaged in violence near the Zveçan municipal building during the heightened tensions that followed the election of Albanian mayors in northern Kosovo.

The Verdict Breakdown

Judge Medije Bytyqi confirmed the approval of the plea deal, finding Radenkoviq guilty of “assaulting an official person” and “participation in a crowd committing a criminal offense and hooliganism.”

  • Imprisonment: A unique sentence of two years, with credit given for time already spent in detention since January 14, 2026.
  • Financial Penalty: A €15,000 fine, which replaced a secondary six-month prison sentence following the defendant’s consent and under the provisions of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Kosovo.
