Peter Magyar, the newly elected prime minister of Hungary, has announced that he will not move into the official government residence and will continue living in his private home in the Buda area together with his children.

Magyar also stated that he will use a blue Škoda Superb as his official government vehicle — the same car he reportedly used throughout his election campaign.

According to Hungarian media, the new prime minister has chosen to maintain a more modest and citizen-oriented lifestyle despite assuming the country’s highest executive office.

Magyar, who is the father of three sons, said he prefers to remain close to ordinary citizens rather than adopt the privileges traditionally associated with the role of prime minister.

The decision has already attracted significant public attention in Hungary, where debates over political privilege, government spending, and transparency have intensified in recent years.
