Elon Musk is among the high-profile figures accompanying Donald Trump during his official visit to China this week.
According to a spokesperson from the White House, Musk was aboard the presidential aircraft Air Force One when it departed for Beijing on Tuesday.
The American delegation also includes several of the world’s most influential business and technology leaders, highlighting the economic and strategic importance of the visit amid growing global competition between Washington and Beijing.
Among the delegation members is Tim Cook, who is expected to officially step down as CEO of Apple in September.
Also present is Jensen Huang, head of Nvidia, one of the world’s leading suppliers of artificial intelligence chips.
