The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology, and Innovation (MESTI) has officially announced the launch of the application phase for the State Matura Exam (Provimi i Maturës Shtetërore) for all high school seniors across Kosovo.
According to the ministry’s directive, the entire application process will be administered digitally through the state portal, eKosova, and will remain active for a strict 12-day window.
Key Deadlines and Step-by-Step Guidelines
MESTI has urged all eligible students to complete their registration well ahead of the closing date to avoid potential system overloads. The framework for the application window is outlined below:
- Application Period: June 1 to June 12, 2026.
- Platform: Exclusively online via the eKosova platform.
- Eligibility: All senior high school students in Kosovo who have successfully passed their final year of secondary education.
Crucial Step: Verifying Information Accuracy
In its public address, the Ministry issued a strong advisory regarding data entry. Students are required to meticulously review and verify the accuracy of all digital fields before submitting their final applications.
“MESTI calls upon all graduates to apply within the specified deadline, ensuring that they carefully verify the accuracy of their personal and academic data during the process,” the official ministry announcement reads.
Any clerical discrepancies—such as misspelled names, incorrect identification numbers, or mismatched school modules—can lead to administrative delays, potential errors in exam center assignments, or complications during the eventual generation of diploma certificates.
School administrations across Kosovo have been instructed to provide logistical guidance and verification assistance to any students encountering issues with their school records on the portal during this period.
