Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced that negotiations between the United States and Iran have entered their final stage, suggesting that a peace agreement could be reached within the next 24 hours.
According to Sharif, the parties are closer than ever to a diplomatic solution following months of discussions and mediation efforts. He emphasized that Pakistan has played an important role in helping bridge differences between Washington and Tehran.
The Pakistani prime minister stated that the final draft of the agreement has already been prepared and that technical arrangements are underway for an electronic signing immediately after it receives approval from both sides.
“We are closer than ever to reaching an agreement. Its finalization could take place within the next 24 hours,” Sharif said.
He added that, following the signing, a new phase of technical discussions is expected to begin, focusing on the implementation of the agreement and the mechanisms for monitoring compliance.
However, Iranian officials have expressed caution, stressing that while significant progress has been made, several issues still require final agreement before the deal can be concluded.
If signed, the agreement is expected to be regarded as one of the most significant diplomatic developments in the Middle East in recent years, with the potential to reduce regional tensions and open a new chapter in relations between the United States and Iran.
