More Than 19,000 High School Graduates to Sit for the Matura Exam

The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MAShTI) has announced that the first session of the 2026 State Matura Exam will take place on June 20 (today), with 19,514 graduating students participating across 152 testing centers throughout Kosovo.

According to the ministry, the process will be administered by 1,360 proctors and 750 commission chairpersons and members. The examination will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

MAShTI stated that all candidates must arrive at their designated testing centers no later than 9:00 a.m. in order to complete identification procedures and be seated in their examination rooms.

The Matura Exam will be conducted in a single day and will consist of 100 questions, including 25 questions each from the native language, English language, mathematics, and one elective subject chosen by the student.

The ministry has reiterated that the possession of mobile phones and other electronic devices during the examination is strictly prohibited. Any student found carrying such devices will be immediately disqualified from the exam, regardless of whether the devices were used.

According to MAShTI, the Assessment Center has completed all technical and organizational preparations to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination process, while all responsible staff have undergone prior training.

The ministry wished all graduating students success as they take the exam.
