Three individuals have been arrested by the Kosovo Police following a successful targeted anti-drug operation along the Ferizaj–Prishtina highway, authorities confirmed on Thursday morning. The suspects are facing charges related to the illegal possession and distribution of narcotics.

According to the official police report, the intervention took place late Wednesday night, July 1, 2026, at approximately 11:30 PM. Law enforcement units intercepted and halted two vehicles carrying the three suspects, who had been under surveillance for alleged drug-trafficking activities.

The Initial Stop and Subsequent Residence Search

The operation unfolded in two distinct phases as officers uncovered illicit substances split between the transit vehicles and a stash house:

  • Highway Interception: During the initial roadside search of the vehicles, officers discovered a pre-rolled cigarette containing 0.9 grams of marijuana on one of the suspects, along with €330 in cash.
  • Apartment Raid: Backed by a judicial search warrant, specialized units subsequently raided an apartment utilized by the suspects. The secondary search yielded 33 separate baggies of marijuana weighing a combined 96 grams, four baggies of cocaine, and an additional €1,000 in cash.

Legal Proceedings and Detention

All recovered narcotics, alongside a total of €1,330 in cash, were formally confiscated as material evidence for the upcoming prosecution.

Following a directive from the state prosecutor, all three suspects were formally placed under arrest. After undergoing preliminary interrogation at the precinct, they were remanded into 48-hour police detention. The Kosovo Police and state prosecutors confirmed that the comprehensive investigation into the trafficking network remains active.
