Priorities for the New EUSR Mandate
Schübel takes over the diplomatic mission at a critical juncture for the Western Balkans. Moving forward, the diplomatic framework between Pristina and the EU is expected to focus heavily on several key institutional tracks:
- The Reform Agenda: Accelerating domestic judicial and structural overhauls to match EU accession criteria.
- Economic Alignment: Enhancing trade infrastructure and unlocking regional development funds.
- Regional Stability: Navigating ongoing diplomatic dialogues and securing Kosovo’s broader international recognition.
