Kosovo Police have arrested a man suspected of document forgery as part of an ongoing investigation into a previously reported case in Leposaviq.
Police said the suspect, identified by the initials I.S., born in 1985, was arrested on Monday in connection with the investigation.
Following the arrest, the duty prosecutor was notified and, in accordance with the prosecutor’s order, police conducted a search of the suspect’s home in Leposaviq.
“During the search, 45 rounds of ammunition of different calibers and several pieces of uniform were found and seized,” Kosovo Police said in a statement.
As material evidence related to the document forgery investigation, officers also seized the suspect’s personal Redmi 5G mobile phone.
The suspect was interviewed in the presence of a defense attorney and, following the prosecutor’s decision, was placed in custody for 48 hours.
Police said further investigative and legal actions will be carried out in cooperation with the relevant justice authorities.
