Former minister and one of the key figures of the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI), Bujar Osmani, has reacted to Jeton Shasivari, the Albanian Minister of Justice in the Government of North Macedonia, over his comments regarding the Hague trial.
Shasivari said that on September 16, “the streets, politics or emotions should not be the ones judging – the court will speak,” referring to the expected verdict in the case against former Kosovo Liberation Army (KLA) leaders.
Osmani criticized the VLEN minister, contrasting his position with that of senior American officials who testified during the Hague proceedings in support of Hashim Thaçi and other former KLA leaders.
“Wesley Clark, James Rubin and Christopher Hill came from Washington to testify in defense of Thaçi and his fellow fighters. Meanwhile, VLEN ministers are lining up on the opposite side of history.
There seems to be no end to their wrongdoing,” Osmani wrote.
