Multinational public affairs personnel serving with the NATO-led Kosovo Force (KFOR) have participated in training on the safe use of small unmanned aircraft systems at Camp Bondsteel, strengthening their capabilities to capture aerial imagery.
The training, led by instructors from the United States and Germany, provided practical experience to public affairs personnel from Ireland and the United States, helping them develop their ability to integrate aerial imagery into KFOR’s public communication operations.
The training strengthens interoperability while expanding KFOR’s ability to document and communicate its activities across Kosovo.
KFOR continues to carry out its mandate under United Nations Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999, contributing to a safe and secure environment for all people living in Kosovo, as well as freedom of movement.
KFOR carries out this mission at all times in an impartial manner and in close coordination with the Kosovo Police and the European Union Rule of Law Mission in Kosovo (EULEX), in accordance with their respective roles as security response mechanisms.
