A significant quantity of weapons, ammunition and military equipment was discovered Sunday morning in an abandoned house in the village of Shipovë, Zubin Potok.
According to sources cited by Sinjali, at around 9:00 a.m., a search conducted by the regional special police unit resulted in the discovery and seizure of weapons, ammunition and military equipment.
Among the items seized was a Yugoslav-produced AK-47 automatic rifle, along with six magazines and 157 rounds of ammunition. A Yugoslav-produced M-48 hunting rifle was also found, together with 186 rounds of ammunition for a long gun.
The search also uncovered a bayonet, military uniforms bearing Serbian insignia, two military bags and military field-feeding equipment.
According to information obtained by Sinjali, the house where the weapons were found was unoccupied, and no person believed to have possessed the arsenal has been identified so far.
Following consultation with the State Prosecutor, the case was initiated against an unknown person for the unauthorized possession, control or ownership of weapons.
Investigations aimed at determining who owned the weapons and how they ended up at the location are ongoing.
