The Kosovo Police halted an election pre-campaign activity in North Mitrovica related to the parliamentary elections that will be held in Serbia.
Veton Elshani, Deputy Director of the Kosovo Police for the northern region, told RTKLive that such activities for Serbian elections would not be permitted on the territory of Kosovo.
“We received information that a pre-election gathering for Serbia’s parliamentary elections was being held at the technical school. We have instructions from the competent authorities not to allow any such Serbian pre-election activities on the territory of Kosovo,” Elshani said.
Elshani said that officials from the Serbian List were seen at the gathering.
“From the crowd of people, it was claimed that this was a meeting concerning educational issues. However, they were immediately dispersed,” he said.
