Albania’s State Police has rejected claims circulating on social media that Serbian police officers were among the personnel deployed during the October 15 rally in Tirana, describing the reports as entirely false and malicious.

In an official statement, the police said the claims appeared aimed at exploiting nationalist sentiment, creating tensions and undermining public trust in the institution.

Authorities stressed that, as with other public gatherings, only Albanian State Police officers assigned under the official security plan were deployed at the rally.

“The claim that police officers from Serbia were deployed is entirely false,” the statement said.

The State Police expressed concern over the spread of unverified information online and urged citizens to exercise caution before sharing claims that have not been confirmed.
