Danish goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel was the main target of the Serbian fans at the Munich stadium.

The fans of Serbia threw glasses at him during the second half, which greatly disturbed the goalkeeper of this Scandinavian national team.

“I can never think of throwing something at another person myself, but if they want to, then that’s fine with me. You can say it just takes the attention away from your players,” Schmeichel said.

At one point in the match the situation seemed to get out of hand, with fans being warned over the public address system to stop throwing glasses onto the pitch, which at one point Schmeichel collected and carried off the pitch.

“It wasn’t my intention to provoke at all, but I’m not going to run around picking up other people’s trash,” Schmeichel said.
