On Saturday evening, President of Kosovo Vjosa Osmani attended the event commemorating the founding of the U.S. Marine Corps, 249 years ago.
Osmani shared several photos on Facebook, including one with the U.S. Ambassador to Kosovo, Jeff Hovenier. She was also accompanied by the First Gentleman, Pridon Sadriu.
“Last night at the American Marines Ball, a tradition established 249 years ago, the U.S. Marine Corps celebrated its founding day and honored all those who gave their lives and sacrificed for freedom and peace around the world,” Osmani wrote.
The Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, also participated in the event.
