A Serbian woman was appointed as the head of the Misdemeanor Court in Presheva on Wednesday.
Journalist from the Presheva Valley, Ardita Behluli, says that despite the fact that the city of Presheva is over 90% populated by Albanians, even the few Albanians who have been employed in public institutions in the municipalities of Presheva, Medvegjë, and Bujanoc, when they retire or leave their jobs, are replaced by professionals from the Serbian community.
Speaking on Klan Kosova, Behluli added that Serbs make up only 2% of the population in Presheva, and when it comes to employment in public institutions, there is a disproportionate representation.
“We believe that Serbia continues with its stubbornness, disregarding the European Union’s recommendations regarding the realization of the rights of Albanians in the Presheva Valley,” Behluli stated, among other things.
