Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, is set to visit Sarajevo today and is scheduled to participate in an expanded session of the “Circle 99” organization in the city’s municipality tomorrow.
On this occasion, the President of the Republika Srpska (RS), Milorad Dodik, once again commented this morning on the visit via the X platform.
He did not hold back on insults and speculations, and even complained that he would have to appear in court while Kurti is in Sarajevo.
“Kurti is coming to Sarajevo to speak about national minorities, while I, as the president of Republika Srpska and a member of the constituent people, am coming to Sarajevo to attend court. Meanwhile, Kurti, who is responsible for numerous attacks on the Serbian people and Orthodox holy places, is being warmly welcomed in Sarajevo, while I, the elected president of the Serbs in Bosnia and Herzegovina, am in court because I do not respect laws that were not passed through the will of the people, but in the offices and kitchens of those who stand behind this provocation. Someone seems to be in a rush to create chaos in Bosnia and Herzegovina,” Dodik wrote, continuing his hate-filled rhetoric against Kurti.
“Photos that eagerly announce the arrival of this separatist leader are a symbol of disrespect and humiliation of the Serbian people. This visit is an open provocation, an insult to all Serbs, and a confirmation that Sarajevo is being used as a platform for the implementation of policies that have nothing to do with peace, cooperation, and the respect of rights. Albin Kurti’s visit to Sarajevo is neither an act of goodwill nor a contribution to regional stability. It is yet another attempt to delegitimize the Serbian people and humiliate Republika Srpska. We will not accept this! Sarajevo should be ashamed that it has become a stage for glorifying those most responsible for the suffering of the Serbs. Republika Srpska will not remain silent in the face of such provocations and will always defend the dignity of the Serbian people,” Dodik said.
For the record, the Krug 99 Association invited guests and those interested to attend the expanded session of this non-governmental organization, where Albin Kurti will give the opening speech.
The chairman of Circle 99, Adil Kulenović, in the invitation to this event, particularly thanked the support of the Albanian Community in Bosnia and Herzegovina for holding the meeting, which will take place on December 6th in the large hall of the Sarajevo Municipality.
The session of Circle 99 will focus on the situation and relations in the region, as well as perspectives for peace in the Balkans.
