An unexploded ordnance from the war was discovered in the yard of a company in Krusha e Vogël, Prizren (formerly known as “Bodrumi i Verës”) during excavation work.

The police received the report around 2:30 PM today via telephone.

Shaqir Bytyqi, a spokesperson for the Prizren Police, stated that the device appeared to be a “cluster bomb” left over from the recent war.

“The police responded to the scene and secured the area. Relevant police units have taken all necessary measures. The KSF’s demining unit has also been informed about the situation,” Bytyqi said, emphasizing that the unit arrived at the scene and ordered the closure of all roads leading to the area.

The explosive device was assessed as “highly dangerous,” having been identified as an “anti-tank cluster bomb.”

“After securing the surrounding area, the explosive device was safely detonated at the scene without any incidents,” Bytyqi confirmed.
