In a joint session of the Parliaments of Kosovo and Albania held today in the Kosovo Assembly, the Speaker of the Kosovo Assembly, Glauk Konjufca, expressed his gratitude to the Republic of Albania for its exceptional and unwavering support in defending Kosovo’s interests at the international level.
Konjufca emphasized that the relationship between the two states is close and unconditional, representing shared national interests. He added that this commitment is crucial for strengthening unity and cooperation in defending Kosovo’s sovereignty and statehood.
“This session serves as a testimony to the unity between Kosovo and Albania in every circumstance, without any conditions, representing only the national interests of both states. We are united in our efforts to protect and advance Kosovo’s rights and statehood,” Konjufca stated in his speech.
He also thanked Albania, the Albanian Parliament, and the Albanian Government for their strong stance in defending Kosovo, highlighting Albania’s engagement in all international forums to ensure the recognition and protection of Kosovo’s statehood.
“Albanians have always been the most natural allies of Western values in the Balkans. We thank Albania for its unwavering support and the powerful voice it has raised in defending Kosovo’s interests in every international forum,” he said.
This meeting symbolized the further strengthening of cooperation between the two countries, focusing on advancing the integration process of Kosovo and Albania into international structures and protecting the rights of Albanians wherever they live.
