Major cities in Albania, including Fier, Durrës, Lushnja, and Saranda, experienced widespread power outages, plunging these areas into darkness.
Footage obtained by Report TV shows one of the amusement rides in the center of Fier left suspended mid-air due to the power failure. Fortunately, no one was on board at the time.
In Vlora, electricity was briefly cut off for approximately 15 minutes, adding to the disruptions across the country.
Uncertain Duration of Outages
The extent and duration of the power outages remain unclear. However, authorities are reportedly working to identify the fault and plan to restore electricity using secondary power lines.
