Israeli journalist Yossi Melman has described Srulik Einhorn, an advisor to Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, as an “agent of chaos” notorious for disseminating false information and fostering a toxic atmosphere.
Speaking to N1 Television, Melman stated that Einhorn, sought by Israeli authorities for questioning about allegedly leaking state secrets to Bild through Benjamin Netanyahu’s office, previously worked as a “spin doctor” for the Israeli Prime Minister.
Einhorn’s Influence and Methods
“We call such individuals a ‘poison machine’ because they undermine democracy by spreading rumors, conspiracy theories, and fake news,” Melman said. He added that after working for Netanyahu, Einhorn launched a consultancy firm that offered services to countries in the region, including Serbia.
Einhorn’s company, Perception Media, has claimed credit for helping Vučić secure nearly 62% of the vote in recent elections. Melman accused him of fostering animosity among political rivals and polarizing societies, comparing his influence in Serbia to tactics used in Hungary and Israel.
“When there is a right-wing populist leader with authoritarian tendencies, they exploit this to sow confusion, making it difficult for the public to discern truth from lies, ultimately living in chaos. Srulik Einhorn epitomizes an agent of chaos,” Melman asserted.
Einhorn’s Legal and Professional Troubles
Melman revealed that Einhorn is sought for questioning by Israeli security services over his alleged involvement in leaking state secrets. While not officially a fugitive, Einhorn has avoided returning to Israel, which does not appear to deter Vučić from employing him as a consultant.
Serbian-Israeli Arms Deal
Melman also touched upon Serbia’s recent $335 million arms deal with Israeli defense manufacturer Elbit. He speculated that Einhorn may have played a minor role in the agreement but was unlikely to have been a key negotiator.
The deal includes artillery launchers and drones like the Hermes-900, which, while effective, are not considered cutting-edge. “It depends on whether Serbia purchased newer models or older versions, which are still functional but less advanced,” Melman explained.
Serbia’s Role in Supplying Israel
According to Melman, Serbia has become a significant supplier of ammunition to Israel, especially during its conflict with Hamas in Gaza. Multiple flights have reportedly transported explosives and munitions from Belgrade to Israeli airbases.
