US aviation soldiers stationed in KFOR’s Regional Command East worked alongside Albanian aviation soldiers to maintain Blackhawk UH60M helicopters in Kosovo. According to NATO’s mission in Kosovo, the two nations cooperated in replacing the main rotor shafts on the helicopters.

These efforts are part of KFOR’s daily mission to support all communities within Kosovo. The NATO-led mission reiterated its commitment to implementing its mandate under UN Security Council Resolution 1244 of 1999. KFOR’s mission focuses on ensuring a secure environment and freedom of movement for all people and communities in Kosovo, in a neutral and impartial manner.
