Aivo Orav, head of the EU office in Kosovo, has stated that lifting the European Union’s measures against Kosovo requires the unanimous agreement of all 27 EU member states. Discussions on the issue are ongoing, but no final decision has been made.

Speaking during a visit to Prizren, where he inspected the construction of the city’s largest school—a €5.2 million EU-funded project—Orav reiterated the EU’s stance on the Western Balkans, emphasizing that the bloc remains incomplete without the full integration of the region’s countries.

Orav also stressed that while Kosovo’s EU path remains open, the country must fulfill additional requirements and obligations before further progress can be made.
