The Central Election Commission (KQZ) of Kosovo has announced that the final results of the February 9 elections will be published no later than March 5, while certification is expected by March 18.

KQZ spokesperson Valmir Elezi stated in a press conference that efforts are being made to release the results even sooner than planned.

“In previous elections, it took KQZ about 18 days from election day to announce the final results. We are on track with our planning, and the results are expected to be published no later than March 5, while certification will follow by March 18 after the resolution of complaints and legal procedures,” Elezi said.

The evaluation of ballot packages from overseas voters has already been completed. Of approximately 69,000 received packages, around 63,000 have been approved, while 4,900 were rejected due to irregularities such as multiple submissions, missing registration confirmations, or votes from ineligible senders.

In the coming days, KQZ will begin counting conditional votes, votes from individuals with special needs, and ballots received from abroad.
