The Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Keir Starmer, surrounded by French President Emmanuel Macron, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, and leaders from other European countries, stated at the opening of the security summit that this is a historic moment for Europe’s security.

Europe is facing a “once-in-a-generation” moment for security, Starmer said during talks to discuss support and security for Ukraine.

“In my discussions over the past few days, we agreed that a group of us will work with Ukraine on a plan to stop the fighting, and then we will discuss it with the U.S. and take it forward together,” the Prime Minister said.

Sunday’s talks in London will focus on how a fair and sustainable peace can be achieved, Starmer said, emphasizing that while Russia speaks of peace, it continues its relentless aggression against the Ukrainians.

“Although Russia speaks of peace, they continue their ruthless aggression,” he added.
