British Prime Minister Keir Starmer addressed Parliament following his weekend meeting with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, emphasizing the United States’ indispensable role in securing global peace.

US-Europe Divide? Starmer Rejects the Notion

Referring to Friday’s tense exchange between Zelensky and former U.S. President Donald Trump, Starmer made it clear that such confrontations are counterproductive.

“The angry meeting between Zelensky and Trump is something no one in this House wanted to see,” he stated. “The idea of choosing between the U.S. and Europe is completely unserious because America is vital in securing the peace we all strive for.”

UK Strengthening Ties with the US

Starmer also underscored the importance of reinforcing the UK’s relationship with Washington.

“We must be clear that the UK must strengthen its ties with the United States,” he added.

His remarks signal a commitment to deeper transatlantic cooperation, ensuring continued support for Ukraine amid ongoing geopolitical tensions.
