Edi Rama, the Prime Minister of Albania, responded ironically to an appeal made by Sali Berisha, who urged children to skip school and protest the closure of TikTok.

Rama mocked the statement by sharing a video of a marsh owl, with Berisha’s call for students to boycott school playing in the background.

Berisha had said, “You have the right to start strikes, and your strike should be to boycott lessons. For example, on Monday, it would be magnificent if you could miss the first hour. This is normal. I call on parents not to send their children to school on Monday, at least for the first hour,” he said.

In response, PS Deputy Erion Braçe commented that someone must have serious mental issues to tell children to skip school because TikTok was closed.
