Today, Memli Krasniqi, the leader of the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK), met with the EU Special Representative for the Kosovo-Serbia dialogue, Peter Sorensen. During their meeting, Krasniqi emphasized that the dialogue must conclude with mutual recognition between Kosovo and Serbia.

Krasniqi stated that the process should be revitalized with new energy, a constructive approach, and a clear focus on concrete results. He reaffirmed his firm stance that the dialogue should aim for a comprehensive and final agreement that guarantees mutual recognition between the two countries. Krasniqi also pointed out that provisional agreements that delay the process and create uncertainty are not conducive to long-term peace and stability.

He further reiterated the PDK’s request for the European Union to lift punitive measures against Kosovo. “We expect the EU to maintain a balanced approach, respecting the principles of equality and reciprocity in all phases of the dialogue. At the same time, I reiterated our request for the EU to remove sanctions on Kosovo, which are unjustly harming the well-being of our citizens,” Krasniqi said in a Facebook post.
