Today in Tirana, as part of strengthening cooperation in the field of defense, a trilateral joint declaration will be signed between Albania, Croatia, and Kosovo.

The declaration, which is expected to be signed by the Ministers of Defense of the three countries – Ivan Anušič (Croatia), Pirro Vengu (Albania), and Ejup Maqedonci (Kosovo) – aims to strengthen the defensive capabilities of these countries, increase cooperation in the defense industry, and improve military interoperability through education, training, and joint exercises.

“The declaration includes the promotion of the defense capabilities of all three countries, cooperation between the defense industries, strengthening interoperability through education, training, and exercises, countering hybrid threats, and supporting Euro-Atlantic integration,” writes the Croatian daily Večernji List.

Despite the signing of this declaration, it does not represent a military pact, but rather a commitment to deeper cooperation between the three countries.

Croatia, which already has a history of military cooperation with Albania through NATO, is also deepening its relations with Kosovo. As part of this cooperation, over 70 members of Kosovo’s Security Force have completed military training in Croatia.
