A Kosovo Police sergeant from Kaçanik was fatally shot last night in an attack that has sent shockwaves across the country.

“An Attack on the State Itself”

The Kosovo Police Union has strongly condemned the murder, calling it a criminal assassination and a direct attack on public security, the rule of law, and the state of Kosovo.

“Any attack on a police officer is an attack on the Republic of Kosovo,” the union declared.

Emphasizing that the Kosovo Police are the backbone of law and order, the union warned that any attempt to undermine them is an effort to weaken the state.

“We demand immediate action from all state actors and justice institutions to uncover this crime and bring those responsible to justice,” the statement continued.

The union reaffirmed its unwavering support for all police officers, vowing that intimidation tactics would not shake their commitment to duty and the Republic.

“Honor and glory to the sacrifice of Sergeant Muhamed Lika!”
